Bio
Lavanya Thakur (b. Delhi, India) is a visual artist working across painting, textiles, installation, and performance.
Her practice is rooted in lived experiences of rupture, migration, and survival, weaving together personal memory with broader questions of identity, spirituality, and the weight of digital and colonial systems.

She studied at the College of Art, Delhi, and completed her MFA from UMPRUM, Prague, where she worked in the Fine Arts Studio under Michal Novotný and JiÅ™í ÄŒernický, and later with Lenka Vítková. Her works have been exhibited in Prague, Vienna, Rome, Brno, and Florence. She currently lives and works between New Delhi and Germany.
